ABOUT US

We believe that music is a universal language—a powerful force that brings people together, inspires humanity, and changes lives. Our events and community initiatives aim to create moments of magic for people of all ages and backgrounds, whether it’s a child hearing Mozart for the first time, a young professional seeking an escape from digital devices, or a classical music enthusiast enjoying the melodies of a familiar quartet.

Our mission is to strengthen, enrich, and inspire the community through music by offering unique and memorable experiences that extend far beyond the traditional concert hall. We take pride in reimagining the concert experience by hosting curated events in a diverse range of locations such as schools, libraries, unique businesses, private venues, and even homes. We offer everything from free school concerts to sophisticated modern-day soirées, impacting the lives of others through exceptional musical experiences all around the community.

In addition, our commitment to empowering artists gives them the freedom to express their creativity. By valuing musician input throughout the programming and planning process, we enable creatives to share the music that truly inspires and excites them. Every performance is infused with genuine passion and authenticity, providing our guests with a truly special and enriching musical experience.

Everyone deserves to experience the magic of classical music—and we’re making it happen.

classical music for the modern world

Elevated, spiritually enriching, and practical. We present shorter programs of well-loved musical works that will leave you inspired any day of the week. Our programs are coupled with careful attention to the guest experience, providing a welcome escape for the mind and soul that is worth every minute.

Breaking
Barriers

Classical music may be a centuries-old tradition, but the experience is just as magical today. We value human connection, and our performances include insightful commentary and stories shared by the artists, creating something so much more than just a listening experience. In addition, some performances (like our Showcase Soirée events) are followed by a reception with the artists, a special opportunity for audiences to interact with our musicians and connect with others.

Artist-Curated programs

We empower musicians and give them control over programming, so that you get to experience unrestricted creativity in a rare opportunity to hear the music that inspires and excites artists the most. Our performances are designed to inspire, and handing over the reigns to musicians allows them to unleash their creative side and share the music that inspires their own passion for music.

A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

HELLO!

My name is Evin Blomberg, and I am a violinist, passionate arts advocate, and the Founder & CEO of the Soli Music Society.

I started the Soli Music Society because I whole-heartedly believe in the power of great music and its ability to affect each and every one of us—and in some cases, change lives.

When the COVID-19 pandemic forced performing arts organizations to halt all in-person performances in 2020, I was struggling to find a purpose as a musician. At first, it felt as if the arts were not missed at all, especially in the context of everything else happening around the world at the time. As a performer, it was absolutely devastating—after decades of dedicating all of my time, energy, and resources to the violin, I was forced to face the “why” of it all and dig deeper to figure out how I could use music to make a difference in my community.

Thankfully, it wasn’t long before recording and online streaming temporarily became the new platform for enjoying musical performances, and all of a sudden there was an overwhelming response from people all over the world who felt that music—and the arts in general—was the only thing giving them hope during difficult times. It was a positive reminder that life goes on, things will someday return to normal, and that things like the arts remind us of a greater purpose in life.

Seeing the impact of music and how it affected so many people gave me purpose again. I spent my free time practicing, working on solo projects, recordings, digital performances, competitions, and finding any way possible to continue developing as a musician. I also spent a lot of time talking to members of the community and figuring out ways to reach more people with smaller performances.

Music is a language that everyone can understand, and after seeing new life in the eyes of musicians and audiences after performances started up again, I decided I wanted to take action. I started the Soli Music Society because I wanted to create a platform for musicians to be able to play pieces they love for all kinds of audiences around the community, creating even more opportunities for classical music to reach people and impact their lives.

Classical music can be an inspiring experience for everyone, and I dream of a world where artistic and creative inspiration motivates us all to help make the world a better place.
